I discovered completely by accident today, that Direct Line who I insure my car with, is offering a refund on premiums based on miles covered during the lockdown period.
They actually have a dedicated page. You click on it, fill out your details and they do the rest. So I have to wait approximately 30 days to see how much I’ll get back.
Certainly this year, I have hardly used my car at all. I looked at my MoT certificate from December and checked the mileage today. The car has covered just 1100 miles in 6 months, about 3000 miles less than it normally would during the same period.
