Monzo co-founder quits to farm alpacas

Fun headline, not parody:

I like alpacas, good move

I’ve travelled widely - Hull, Rhyl, Guildford etc , and I’ve never seen Alpaca on a menu. So it’s wool, then…? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Alpaca meat ~ Llama meat?!

I assume so… I know it’s better than sheep’s wool - it’s warmer and softer. I wouldn’t have thought you get that much from 300 alpacas though?

Yeah, I wonder quite what the business is. I mean you just couldn’t eat one of them could you :rage:?

Are alpacas expensive , I would like 2 if they eat grass, cuter than goats

Warming to the subject…this is one interesting animal - cute, good family pet, smaller than a llama - but they don’t come cheap. Anyway, read on.

You’re welcome :grinning:

Has he got bored with the alpacas now then? Maybe they bit him?

I wonder if this being Newcastle has anything to do with taking the job. I assume he can still live on the farm with his wife instead of being in London all the time.

Perhaps even ride one to work?
