The way of the new world:
I’ve been a Nationwide customer for years and only ever been into a Nationwide Branch twice, once to pay a cheque in and the other when I took a mortgage out with them several years ago.
Santander clearly don’t need the number of branches they have and are taking affirmative action. Can’t really see the issue if a large majority of their customers now bank online or via mobile App. Keeping branches with low footfall open, isn’t a sound financial outlook.
