Not sure why the target was set at 800,000…
Founder and CEO Anne Boden confirmed to Yahoo Finance UK on Monday that the startup had passed the milestone.
“When we started Starling our 5 year target was 800,000,” Boden said. “Now we are at 1m and looking forward to the next million.”
Now doubled to 2m opened accounts… fantastic growth, especially in this climate.
Demonstrates that Curve can be hitting their growth targets as well 
Starling probably benefitted from many businesses opening accounts to apply for Bounce Back loans, and consumers opening personal accounts to easily pay-in cheques from home or use the connected card during lockdown.
It’s a credit to them that they’ve managed to roll out many significant new features at such a difficult time. Well done Starling!
